among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not
for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted
to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd
appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

Welcome
to the Elders' web page. The word Elder is sometimes used to refer
to those who are senior in age but not in this case; we'd like to think so
anyway, because we are all relatively young. Church Elders are
elected by the members of the local congregation and are accountable to them.
Our role
is primarily that of providing spiritual leadership to the body of
Christ.
Our Biblical
mandate says;
"Be Shepherds of God’s
flock that is under your care, serving as overseers – not because you
must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for
money but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but
being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will
receive the crown of glory that will never fade away." 1 Peter 5:2-4
Our aim is for each
member of the church family "To Know Christ." Matthew 7:23 give
the only reason why
Christ reject any of us; "I never knew you." . Our
objectives for every member having a personal relationship with Christ are as follows; •
Know the members (Visitation programme)

Increasing the membership (Through Bible Study & Baptism)
•
Spirit-filled leadership (Leading by example, provision of training)
•
Preparedness (Bible teachings on the return of Jesus Christ)
